Cheap and Cheerful (and Chilly)
As we happily sipped our £12(ish) bottle of Villa Maria (excellent value as sauvignon blanc connoisseurs will understand), our perfectly sized portion of nachos arrived. We “ooohed” and “aaaahed” at the symmetry of the plate. Despite the chilly conditions – bring a scarf and jacket – we were pleasantly (OK, we were slightly snobby) surprised by the plate we were presented with.

VEGETARIANS BEWARE!!!
For all you veggies, let me just describe this nightmare. Five minutes after we ordered our “nachos”, a great big steaming pile of beef was plonked on our table. After an awkward silence, our resident vegetarian (Jacklyn) remarked that she had not been expecting meat on her nachos. Our tattooed, long haired server replied that we had not mentioned this when ordering. Ehh, I’m sorry... but nachos = tortilla chips, cheese, salsa, guacamole, soured cream and jalapeños. (Unless stated otherwise on the menu) Duh! Anyway...on to our ratings...
